Raider Rampage

On September 9th, 2009  "the Nerf raid begins" and Hasbro officially introduces us to the Raider CS-35. In the summer of 2012 we were re-introduced (with not so much fanfare) to this blaster as the Rampage. The Raider gave us a sturdy side clip fed, front vertical grip, pump action design with slamfire function. It also came with a pretty cool extendable stock and a massive 35 round drum magazine that was compatible with all the other nerf clip system blasters. The Rampage is blue and looks just like the Raider. It comes with a 25 dart drum mag. But it does have a direct plunger system and that makes all the difference in performance.

Raider Rapid Fire CS-35

There are a few things I would have done different with the development of these blasters. First the Raider should have been yellow so that it would match other N-strike blasters and accessories. Next the other clip feds at this time (Longshot, Recon) as well as up coming blasters were cs-6 and came stock with a 6 dart clip, 18 dart clips would be out the next year too. Maybe the 35 was too much too soon. A direct plunger system gives the Rampage elite performance  worthy of a successor, but with a 25 dart drum mag and no stock the Rampage isn't as impressive out of the box as it could have been and the Raider was. Just my opinion or bad marketing decisions?
RAMPAGE out of the box.
Raider is one of my modified blasters
The Raider and Rampage in my armory reflect a few changes and modifications I would have liked to have seen stock. My Raider has  N-strike yellow paint job and a 6 dart clip(any size clip still works). Internal mods were made as well. My Rampage sports the bigger 35 rd. drum and a Stockade stock with 10 extra darts giving it  I think  a   bigger, bad'R, heavier duty look and feel.

My RAMPAGE and RAIDER side by side.

Remember to always enjoy yourself while raiding and/or rampaging!

EAT-AT-Nerfarium

You might guess from the clever title this post is about my take on the EAT (elite alpha trooper) and the AT (alpha trooper). These are a couple of my favorite blasters for a few reasons. I liked the AT when it first came out introducing us to that 18 dart drum mag it came with and being the second blaster with slam fire.

Next was the design, with the mag well underneath and the fore grip priming action, this blaster was better to use with those drums like the 35 and 25 from the Raider  and Rampage. I've been asked which I prefer EAT or Rampage? I pick the Eat because the mag isn't hang'n out of the side.

RAMPAGE and EAT (bellow)

Above all both  the Troopers are fun versatile blasters, good performers in both stock and modded forms. Basic modifications are not overly difficult. If you already have one you know all this.  If you don't already have at least one of these babies  get one.

Meet my Elite

So I'm guessing you all have  at least a couple of  N-Strike Elite blasters. So sorry to say I have no revolutionary or innovative  news. What I do have is a couple of pix  of my Elite arsenal.  Not yet complete it lacks 3 stock blasters to finish the series.  I just wanted to get a new post up and show off some more of my stuff. Come back soon for more and to feed the fish. Thanks.

A dog of a blog

Still plunk'n around with my new little blog. Adding gadgets here, dragging gizmos there, and enjoying every moment of it all.. I'm just not sure if I should be taking more or less prescription medication while I'm doing it? Things will probably change around frequently for a while and any suggestions you might have are welcome.
In the mean time I plan to post more stuff about my personal collection basically just to show off a little.  NERF ON NERerS!!!

It's all about the Nerf

If you didn't guess from the title this blog is going to focus on nerf. More specifically nerf blasters, as well as other brands of foam projectile launching toy goodness. That's right it's another nerf blog, there are many like it but this one is mine.  So without any further ado here's my first posted pic.

Nerfarium

Greetings, I thought maybe I'd have a go at my own blog so I've been typing and clicking buttons and figuring it out as I go. With any luck this will be the launch of Nerfarium and I'll be able to share a lot more than I have just hang'n out in chat rooms. More post and pictures to be coming shortly.
