DEMOLISHER TIME

Back in September I told you about a trip to Wal-mart where I picked up a Buzz Bee Extreme Blastzooka for less than a third of the price of a Nerf Demolisher 2 in 1. I've wanted a Demolisher since they first hit the Nerf seen earlier this year, but the nearly $40 price tag just seemed a little too much. I knew if I waited a while the price would come down and now my friends that time has come!
I picked up my own DEMOLISER at that same Wal-mart on sale for $29.88 .  They seem to be on sale everywhere so now might be a good time to get one.

My New DEMOLISHER 2 IN 1
Wal-mart   $29.88  reg price $38.88
Target        $29.99  reg price $39.99
Toys R Us $29.99  reg price $39.99
Kmart        $34.99  reg price $44.99
Kohls         $55.24  reg price $64.99
Costco       $30.00  2 clip, 20 dart special pack as reported on reddit.com .

This blaster is even more fun than I thought it was going to be. I like it's a good hefty size. The missile launcher works better than I expected, and the dart range was superior to my Stryfe not to mention my Demolisher operates well with any clip unlike my Stryfe. Now that I have both I'm not saying that the Stryfe isn't a great blaster, but I am saying the Demolisher is more than just a re-shell of the Stryfe, as it has so often been  called.

18 dart clip, I think I will do a seal mod on the missile launcher.

25 dart DRUM MAG, I might also do a voltage mod?

Another bonus is that the Demolisher will fire the missiles from my Blastzooka (and visa versa). I have yet to do any real head- to- head testing, but it seems the Demolisher would have a higher ROF, not sure about range?
Demolisher and Blastzooka missiles are interchangeable.

As always there are a couple of things that I would have done different... 1. The color. It has a barrel extension mount on it, why orange? No barrel extensions match, same goes for stocks. I guess that's what paint is for.

the RETALIATOR barrel fit loosely...

 2. Another thing I would have liked to have seen on the Demolisher would have been a pump-up pressurized tank missile launching system like the Blastzooka or Titan! Lastly is the 2 in 1 part of the name. DEMOLUSHER is an awesome name for a blaster, but the "2 in 1" makes me think of a hair care product... "The Demolisher 2 in 1, conditions while it shampoos!" Ha ha.
Joking aside, I think this is a great blaster exceeding both its reputation and my expectations. I even like the 10 round banana clip just for the cosmetic value.

Banana clip gives other blasters a tacti-cool advantage.
Now that it is available at around $30 I think the Demolisher is well worth having. I'm pleased with mine and even happier that I got it at a reasonable price. Maybe now is the time for you to pick one up too!

Zombie Strike CLEAR SHOT for Halloween

Last week was Halloween and the candy was dandy but the best treat I got was a new Zombie Strike CLEAR SHOT

My Halloween Zombie Strike Clear Shot still in the box.
.  The Clear Shot is different from the rest of  Zed Squad blasters in several ways: To start it is a Target exclusive; It is also the only one to come with a scope accessory (pretty cool); It has a smooth design with no "cloth-wrap" handle and is orange and grey lacking any brown or green as almost all Zombie Strike blasters have.
The CLEAR SHOT is 11" by7" not including the scope, that not as cool-look'n little JOLT is more accurate and gets better ranges.

The reason for the simple orange and grey color scheme is most likely because the CLEAR SHOT is a simple repaint of the 2009 Dart Tag STORM FIRE. Except for the scope, some ZOMBIE STRIKE markings and the color change there has been no mechanical upgrades to the original '09 design so by todays Elite performance standards it falls short only getting an average 30' range or so.
I think because of this the CLEAR SHOT has a little bit of a bad reputation.
I'll admit this blaster lacks power but I like the larger size and overall look and design of it. I also like the scope a lot itself, it goes great with other blasters.
I like the way the scope looks on some of the other Z-Strike blasters like my Hammer Shot
I should also note that along with that cool scope the blaster comes with 2 syringe style and 2 plain marked Z-Strike darts. I'm happy to add this blaster to my Zombie Strike Arsenal. Trick-or-Treat, hope you had a Happy Halloween too.
