Since I haven't posted anything in over a month let's just get Nerfy... First thing is my STRYFE mod. It's been a while since I've actually done a good mod. So I took a little time to do this STRYFE that I picked up last Christmas for $10.
I just removed the mechanical and electrical locks and also the thermistor and painted it...
It was like it was made to mod... no wonder this blaster has been re-shelled so many times. |

I finished up with this! |
As I said all the locks are removed and now it runs on either stock batteries or higher voltage without overheating. I painted the proximity barrel to match but all the original yellow N-Strike accessories match as well . I'm not too much into modding my blasters but every now and then I like to do something. I think perhaps Google+ may have had something to do with it too. These days you can find me spending far to much time hanging out in the NERF or NOTHING! community. I never thought I'd get involved with social media and now as fate would have it, not only do I have my blog but a Google + community as well. What's next... a YouTube channel?
That's not all!
I'd like to be telling you I have a new HYPERFIRE, but alas... I did get a N-Strike GLOWSHOT.For about $6 the GLOWSHOT is lots of fun. It's a single shot, front loader that compares in performance to a SNAPFIRE, TRIAD, or JOLT. What makes this little NERF pistol special is when you put 2 AA batteries in it lights up!
The translucent body of the blaster is illuminated from within by two L.E.D. lights. The lights are activated by a pressure switch/trigger that runs along the top half of the back of the grip. It's a great little indoor blaster particularly at night.
Finally I have a new pegboard display to show you. I've been wanting to do this for a while and it not only turned out well and got some blasters put away but inspired the reorganization of some other blasters too.
