NERF N-FORCE MARAUDER LONGSWORD
Preceeding the N-FORCE AXE and MACE, the MARAUDER LONGSWORD was released in 2009. Perhaps the "King" of the N-FORCE series, the MARAUDER measures in at an impressive 40 and a half inches (103 cm) long...
The first of the N-FORCE series were swords, and when the MARAUDER LONGSWORD hit stores it sold for an average of about 18 to 20 bucks. Like most of the other foam weapons in the series, the MARAUDER is made of a strong, thick, rubbery foam, nicely colored and detailed.

The MARAUDER was released in two different color schemes, red and black, and yellow and black. I chose the yellow and black variant because it matched with my N-Strike blasters of the time.
Red and black MARAUDER |
The MARAUDER, like other N-FORCE weapons, might be just a little too much "toy" for an 8 year old. Despite warnings, kids (and adults) will be kids, and many stories of broken eye glasses, welts, and other accidental injuries have been reported.

With a comfortable two-handed grip, the hilt is plenty big enough for adults. The handgaurd is 8 inches ( 20.3 cm) across, and and weighing just over 15 ounces (431 gm) it truly is a formidable larping melee weapon that can deliver quite a wallop.
My MARAUDER |
My MARAUDER has never seen actual combat. However, the tie holding the sword in its box has been cut and the MARAUDER can and has been removed. Like my other N-FORCE weapons, it hangs on the wall in in its original packaging, without a scratch on it.

Until next time...
