NERF N-Strike Elite TRILOGY DS-15 pre-order available now

The TRILOGY DS-15 is one of my most anticipated blasters from the 2019 New York Toy Fair. Finally, after years of wishing, NERF is giving us a multi-projectile, pump action shotty! It is now available for pre-order on Walmart.com for $34.88. The blaster should be in stores in just under 3 weeks from now, by the 5th of June, if not a little sooner.

If you're not already familiar with the TRILOGY DS-15, its a pump action shotgun that fires 3 darts at a time from a shell, very much like the Zombie Strike SledgeFire. If you're like me you were hoping that these shells were the same as the SledgeFire shells (or at least compatible).. unfortunately  they're not.

 This N-Strike Elite blaster holds 1 shell at a time and can store 5 shells in the stock for fast reloading. Of coarse each shell is hand loaded with 3 darts each...

The blaster is primed by pulling the foregrip back, this slides the loading port door on the top of the blaster open, allowing a loaded shell to be inserted. Pushing the foregrip to the forward position closes the loading port door and the blaster is now loaded and ready to fire by pulling the trigger. When you load another shell and pull back the priming handle, the empty shell pops out of the blaster via the ejection port on the right side of the blaster. Now another shell can be loaded in the open loading port and the process repeated.

The TRILOGY DS-15 comes with 5 shells, 15 Official NERF Elite darts and an instruction sheet. It features 2 attachment points along the top and a short tactical rail at the top front of the barrel.

I don't have any performance stats at this point but I will edit this post with that information as soon as it becomes available. It is a direct plunger Elite series blaster so hopefully the performance should be respectable...
