****HERE COMES DECEMBER!****

" Nerf time is Family time. Blast you All ! " |
Halloween was great and I got to break in my new DOOMINATOR on a few unruly zombies, pirates, ninjas, sith lords, and a couple of princesses around the neighborhood. Now the holiday season is off and running. Christmas is right around the corner, decorations are going up... in the U.S. we celebrated Thanksgiving on Thursday and just like that November is about out-a here and the holiday shopping madness has begun. I was amongst it last night but I managed to get my hands on a couple of much coveted Alpha Trooper Mission Kits for a great price.

I got these for under $18 each I had to stand in a long, long, line at 2 a.m. |
I thought this was a good time to go trough my magnificent Nerf collection and be thankful for it, straighten things up a bit and really appreciate what I have. In less than a month it will be Christmas and I wouldn't be too surprised if I get some new Nerf.

organized my ammo in to 3 drawers. Nice and neat |
I am moving and consolidating my blasters in to a new area too. I will be showing you more of that in the near future. Right now things are in between and all over the place. It's not as bad as it looks in the picture below and it's going to look great! Stay tuned!

This is the worst room of 3 but it is only temporary,
I like to think of it as more a "staging area" than a "mess" |
Earlier this month I bought a package of 100 darts from China for $4.98 including the shipping. I thought I'd risk 5 bucks. I almost forgot about them but 20 days later my darts got here and I love 'em. They work great and at nearly 1/10th the price of name brand darts I won't worry about loosing these so much. They seem to work fine in all my elite blasters.

100 darts for under $5. |
These Darts have a solid rounded head and thus are a little harder than an actual NERF dart. They weigh about 1.3 grams compared to a 1 gram elite dart. length and diameter are about the same. They are slightly darker and maybe a little stiffer, not much. Big thumbs up! If you want to know more contact me for the sellers eBay info.

New darts on the left
Nerf brand darts on the right. |
Although I didn't do any hardcore testing on the performance of these darts compared to Nerf brand elite darts, it seemed from practical hands on use in several different blasters that the after market darts did not get as good distance or speed (fps) but perhaps fly a little straighter overall. Differences seemed minimal. They definitely hit a bit harder with a satisfying
Thwamp! Did I mention that I like 'em?
So I guess that's about it for now. This will be my last post for November. I just wanted to bring you up to speed and also say thanks again for check'n out my blog! December should be a great month so check back here soon, be good to each other, and...
